It may be that when we no longer know what to do,
we have come to our real work;
and that when we no longer know which way to go,
we have begun our real journey.
The mind that is not baffled is not employed.
The impeded stream is the one that sings.
-Wendell Berry
We move too fast and are overcome with an urgency. I know in my own life, I move way too fast, thinking about a million things that I need to do before I have even finished the task at hand. I have been really trying to work on staying calm and being in the moment. I have so much on my plate right now. I am in the process of scaling back….way back. It looks good on paper so we will see how it pans out!
This past year has been a blur, but it has been a good year, full of hope and reconnections. Building on what is important in my life.
My faith, my family, friends and building a creative life.
Reading your blogs, Facebook posts, connecting through emails and long talks on the phone has helped me realize that I am not alone in my quest. I have connected with very strong women who have made me laugh out loud, think deeply and let go of things that do not matter. And for that, I am thankful.
I wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I look forward to what the new year will bring!
I hope that you enjoy this Christmas season and that it brings YOU joy, laughter and love!
XO Cindy

This Wendell Berry poem is one of my favorites, and it “saved” me in a moment of artistic emptiness! HI CINDY! MERRY CHRISTMAS! Anita
Dear Cindy,
Visiting a few blogs this morning, I once again found the link to yours via Z. I had stopped blogging for 9 months & then discovered how very much I missed it. Found you again… lucky me. A Christmas present for sure.
Merry, Merry Christmas to you & yours,
Lin
Hoping you had a wonderful Christmas and that the New Year brings the very best for all of you there!
